Here is the one and only “real” Easter card that I made this year. It was a DT make over at Come and Get It Challenges, but my blog was acting up, and not letting me on….and my brain was functioning about as well!! For that challenge, we were kindly sponsored by Polkadoodles, which is where I got this adorable image from, Crocus, from the Darling Bud collection. I colored her up with my SN markers, then added more shading and definition with my Prismacolor pencils. I lightly stenciled a background in with Distress Inks. I had a brain lapse with the edge….was thinking I could just cut an edge border with the die I was using…nope, lol. I pieced the edge in, and quite like the result of my boo boo!! Tied a big fluffy bow, and added the sentiment and a bunch of pearl accents to finish this card off. Another pastel project…..what is coming over me??

Hello!! It’s hard to believe that it’s the for another challenge over at Come and Get It!! Our theme this time is Cards For Kids, and we are sponsored by the generous PaperNest Dolls.
I must confess, time got away on me, and this was a late make!!
I used Ballerina Emma, and colored her up with my SN markers. Yesterday it was feeling very spring like here (today, not so much, with about 6″ of snow overnight), so I used soft pastel colors. I used scraps from 2 different paper collections, and cut the number 4 out with my Cricut. I used a die from Elizabeth Craft for the bunting. Pink ribbon bows, some yellow flowers, a Brad and glitter glue pulled everything together, ready for the fussy cut image to dance onto the card
I’d like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Hey there Today, I have a card made with the gorgeous freebie that Conie Fong gave to celebrate her first anniversary at her Etsy Store It’s been a while since I’ve done a project in my favorite color combo, and I thought the red, black and white using this image would be very striking…I believe I’m right I colored the image with my SN markers, then rummaged through my scraps, because I knew I had to have something in the colors I was looking for. I was right!! And the big bonus was that the polka dot papers were scraps from the same pad To bring in a bit more red into the mix, I cut a border with my new die from Joy Crafts. I added a bit of ribbon and a sentiment to finish this off.

Good morning!! Welcome to a brand new challenge at Come and Get It Challenges Today we have the theme of “Valentines”, and our sponsor is My Besties by Sherri Baldry. So, get out all of your “love”ly supplies, and make something up for your sweetie, and be sure to share it with us
I was given this sweet image to work with, and decided to have fun with the traditional valentine colors of red and pink!! After coloring the image up, I cut out a bunch of hearts with my Cricut, and tucked them behind the image, so they were peeking out. Then, I cut out an XOXO, again with my Cricut, matted everything with a red card stock….and was done this sweet Valentine

EEEEP!! I didn’t get this posted at anywhere close to the right time!! There still IS a teeny bit of time left to enter our current challenge at Come and Get It, though. Our theme this time is “No Designer Paper”, and the sponsor is the wonderful Nikki Burnett.
I used Fallon, supplied by the sponsor I colored it with my Prismacolors, then fussy cut it to go over the embossed (and lightly inked) background. I die cut some birch trees to place over the embossing. I stamped a sentiment on another strip and this finished my project off
Hi there!!! It’s time for our first challenge of 2017 over at Come and Get It Challenges Appropriately enough, the theme is “Anything New”. This gives you a chance to show off some new crafty stash, a new technique…..well…anything new!!! Annnnd, it gives you the chance to win a $15 voucher from the ever popular Bugaboo Stamps!
I was given the adorable Scene It Birthday Bears to use on my card. Other than the new digi (colored with my SN markers), I also used a new stencil in the background….inked with distress inks; new ribbon, and a new fold :) I perked the card up a bit with some blue glitter on the number 3, and some balloons, that I cut with my Cricut, then added Glossy Accents to. Hope you like it, and that you can join me and the fabulous design team in our Anything New challenge!!
Hello there!! I hope everyone had a great week, and is ready for the new challenge at Come and Get It Challenges Our theme this week is Lots of Layers – a great way to use up scraps, I find. The sponsor is
who have some fabulous images for the lucky winner to choose from.
I used Cat/Kittens from our sponsor. I’ve been practicing my fur coloring lately, and this was a great image to continue with I used my Spectrum Noir markers, with a few touch up/accents with a very fine point Micron pen. I work with a girl who loooooves kitties, and the color pink, so made this into a birthday card for her. I die cut the backing of the cats from a pretty pink polka dot print, then found 2 other coordinating prints for some of the other layers. I stitched around the edges of these pieces to add a bit of definition. Everything was matted on white card stock, which I edge distressed and inked. The flowers were from my stash, as was the ribbon (I was going to go with MORE pink for the ribbon, but the lime green really popped, and coordinated well with the flowers). I added some adhesive pearls to finish the card off.
