A Golden Couple

Golden CoupleWhen I saw this image at Mo’s Digital Pencil, I immediately thought it would be perfect on an anniversary card! I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers, and cut it into a circular shape. In keeping with my latest paper using game, I closed my eyes, reached into a file, and brought out a piece of really ugly print! No wonder I’d never used it!  I decided to go with a vintage-y look, and edge it with an old piece of pale yellow lace that had been taking up space for wayyy too long. I played around with different flowers, until I settled on some yellow, orange and white roses that I rubbed across a gold ink pad. I tucked in some punched branches, and some gold ribbon loops, and placed it all on the background paper. I was happy that,  while it coordinated withe the paper, it also covered most of it up! For the number, I covered a chip board cut out with a mixture of gold glitter glue and gilding flakes.

I’m entering this into the following challenges:

DP2 Challenge – ATG, optional twist of animals….which I obviously didn’t opt to :)
