I had a lot of fun making this card, and had the chance to use some stash that I forgot I had, too! I found the spotted papers in my stash of freebies that were free gifts from magazines….I always hesitate to use them, because if I do, they’ll be gone! Well I dove in this time, because they were perfect for the Crafty Card Maker’s “Going round in Circles” challenge. When I dug around my stamps and found this dolphin image (so old, I can’t remember who made it), I knew that this would be a great card to enter into the Twisted Tuesday challenge – have at least 2 animals on your card, with the twist to include spots or polka dots. I colored the dolphins with Distress Inks and a water brush, adding a wash of color in the background. I spattered the background with water and some color to add a bit more of a water “feel”. On the third circle, I squirted some Goosebumps spray on aqua card stock, then smudged it with Distress Ink for an interesting resist effect with a bit of texture. I matted everything in the same brown that I used to cut the sentiment with my Cricut. To finish off, I added some aqua baubles that I picked off the back pocket of an old pair of jeans (nothing is safe from ending up in my craft hoard!).
