Hey there! Today I have a card that I made for the new challenge at C.R.A.F.T. Our theme this time is Create Your Own Embellishment, and we are sponsored by the ever popular, Nikki Burnett.
The team made some wonderful embellishments to go on their amazing creations, so be sure to check their blogs out for some inspiration
I was given the gorgeous image Giselle to work with. I colored her with my SN markers, adding some touches of sparkle gel pens, and Wink of Stella on her tail. I used Distress Inks to make the sunset background. I was so busy inking and coloring, that I almost forgot our theme!! I got a bit ambitious, and hand made the net, tying ALL THOSE KNOTS!!! I cut the shells, with a Marianne Creatives punch die, out of a scrap of shiny wrapping paper. The sentiment is from a LDRS sentiment stamp set.
Hi there I made this card completely by using the sketch inspiration from MFT Sketch Challenge and the color and stash inspiration from the Butterfly Challenge. I took a look at this sketch:
…And then saw that the Butterfly Challenge had the theme of G is for Glossy Accents, with the color option of Slate Blue. I stamped the butterflies (Inkadinkadoo) all over the backing paper, then cut the frame from some slate blue card stock with my Cricut. I traced where the frame would sit, then used my Prismacolors to only color the inside part…..Of course using blue shades….Including the slate. I took a strip of ivory edged with some black pinstriping, then a strip of white, which I stamped a LDRS sentiment on. Finally, I stamped and colored one more butterfly, which I covered with Glossy Accents, and added it as an accent. The joys of photography (when it’s a bit dark), don’t really show off the colors in a true way, or the shine of the Glossy Accents….unless you really zoom in a lot. I think this makes a cheerful, yet classy card for a friend!!

I had the idea for this card the other day, and was really excited to get to it, because it was back to some of my old rubber stamping techniques. I used an old rubber-stamp of a zebra, I don’t know the brand name, but I got it at Michael’s as part of a set of animals. I used masking to make a row of them to run across the strip of white card stock. The sentiment stamp is also an oldie…..it’s by Stampology. I used a Nellie Snellen circle die to cut it out and to mat it in the turquoise. I’ve had the animal print Cuttlebug embossing folders for a long time, but haven’t used the zebra (or tiger???) one yet. It was perfect to use with CoreD’inations Black Magic paper After sanding the embossing to expose the white, I matted everything with turquoise and added a few small brads to the corner. Loving the CAS design of this card

Hi there!! Today, I have a card that I made for a special friend to celebrate her birthday…much like we celebrate the fact that she is a part of our lives <3 I used the gerbera daisies that came with the Kit and Clowder’s “Elements of Nature” class. Some are colored with my SN markers, and the others are with my Prismacolors, but all with the same techniques I fussy cut them out and set them aside while I did a watercolor wash on some paper, then added salt to give it some texture and design. I printed a big birthday sentiment out on my computer and then cut it out with a nesting die. I had a rubber stamp that was also a gerbera daisy, and used this to stamp and heat emboss the card black, for a cool, coordinating background. After positioning everything, I die cut some leaves and scattered a few sequins for a bit of bling

Allsorts Challenge – #400 Let’s Celebrate!
Hey there!! It’s time for a new challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. Our theme is Love/Valentines/Anniversary this time around, and we have
All Dressed Up stamps sponsoring us. Try to make some time to check out the LOVEly makes of my fellow DT members
I used the sweet Over the Moon image from the sponsor. I colored it with my Prismacolors, with touches of Wink of Stella on her dress and veil, then decided to use the background technique from the latest monthly pencil class over at Kit and Clowder. The colors are way different than what’s used in the class, but that’s the nice thing, the techniques can be applied to any project in any color. The papers are some that I just purchased a while ago, when some of my friends and I went on a road trip to the only scrapbooking store in the area. I took the metallic bits from the paper pattern, and used some gold mirror cardstock to mat everything and to cut the Mr. and Mrs. with my Cricut. Some gold ribbon and a rose finish this card off…..the layout was inspired by this sketch:

I have a friend that ordered a card for someone who loves orca whales. I did a search for images and found this fantastic image at ByMissRach on Etsy. She has all kinds of cute animal digis at great prices I haven’t played with my alcohol inks lately, and, since I wanted a blue, ocean-y background, I figured this card was a good one to pull them out for. After getting the inks done the way I wanted, I gave a spritz of Goosebumps spray (that you can’t see in the pic) and cut out some random circles from the background. I wrapped some floss through the cut outs, then mounted it all on a blue textured paper that I had in my stash. After putting the image on, I added a black bow, some adhesive water droplets and a Cricut sentiment
