You're 4

You’re 4

Hello!! It’s hard to believe that it’s the for another challenge over at Come and Get It!! Our theme this time is Cards For Kids, and we are sponsored by the generous PaperNest Dolls.

Our Badge

I must confess, time got away on me, and this was a late make!!

You're 4

I used Ballerina Emma, and colored her up with my SN markers. Yesterday it was feeling very spring like here (today, not so much, with about 6″ of snow overnight), so I used soft pastel colors. I used scraps from 2 different paper collections, and cut the number 4 out with my Cricut. I used a die from Elizabeth Craft  for the bunting. Pink ribbon bows, some yellow flowers, a Brad and glitter glue pulled everything together, ready for the fussy cut image to dance onto the card :)

I’d like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Digi Choosday – Week 9 ATG

Creative Knockouts – #183 Die/Punch Frenzy

Cute Card Thursday - #467 ATG

Gem of a Challenge – #189 Use 3 ‘B’s’ (ballerina, bows, bunting, blooms)

Birthday Swing

Swing Into Spring

HiBirthday Swing there! Today, I have a card made with Ching Chou Kuik‘s Gentle As A Breeze. There is a challenge in the Kit and Clowder Facebook Group where participants use this image to make a project.  I actually made a card with this stamp previously, but learned that wine does not go well with coloring! I wasn’t happy with it, so I got my SN markers out and made this one :) With the colors of the image being so bright, I opted for leaving the rest of the card quite subdued. Some embossed paper for the background, a Poopy Stamps birthday die,  pearls, and a few white bows was all this spring-like card needed :) I hope you like it!!

I’d like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Crafting By Design - It’s Almost Spring!

Brown Sugar Challenge - ATG #239

Morgan’s Artworld - #4 For the Ladies

Glitter N’ Sparkle – #228 ATG

Cuddled Up for Christmas

Christmas CuddlesI never thought it would be so difficult to find a digi with both a cat AND dog on it!!  Maybe I’m picky, or looking in all the wrong places, but I finally found this one by Your Next Stamp.  I colored them in with my Spectrum Noir markers, trying to stay relatively close to the colors of the recipients pets (ok, didn’t quite nail the matching of the colors!). Some Glossy Accents added to the decorations give a bit of oomph (thank you, Mom, for adding such colorful ‘words’ to my vocabulary :) ).  I played around with the background papers – a LOT – before finding these two, that co-ordinate quite well.  I am really trying to make an effort to do more bows, and ribbon ‘touches’ to my cards, as I have BINS of ribbon and trim!!!  The chocolate brown satin and the sparkly irridescent ribbon and bow really seemed to fit perfectly on this card.  I added a tag with a stamped sentiment and a heart shaped button tied with twine to finish this project off.  I’m entering this in Artistic Inspirations “Warm and Cozy”; Crafty Ribbon “Animals at Christmas, with ribbon”; Fairy Tale Challenge “Christmas with Animals”; and Crafty Catz “Anything Goes” challenges.

Summer, bright and cool…

Summer Bright and Cool Hi there! I’m entering this card into a number of challenges….just seemed to work out that way….. Penny’s Paper Crafty blog is asking us to use our favorite embellishment. Mine would probably have to be buttons…. judging from the jars and bins of them that I have! Card and Scrap also wanted to see buttons, as did Hiding in my Craft Room (buttons and bows). The Crafty Ribbon challenge theme is ‘spotty with ribbons’. The ice cream and Popsicle image fall in with Crafts 4 Eternity’s ‘fabulous food’ challenge, as well as Blue Moon Creation Get Inky’s summer theme. The images I used are from Michael’s dollar bin stamps…..got them a few years ago and never used them, and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I found the cool chunky buttons and the ribbon in my endless hoard of crafty goodness. The spotty paper is from a pack I picked up years ago.
