Hello! It’s time for this week’s challenge at Come and Get It Challenges. This time, our theme is Make Your Own Background. We have 2 generous sponsors for this challenge:
I hope you can have a bit of fun creating your own background, and join us for a chance to win a prize from one of these fabulous stores
I used Image 21 from Oddball Art for my card. I colored her up, using my SN markers, then colored in a background, inspired by a Kit and Clowder pencil class, but I did it in markers I added a tree silhouette, that I cut with my Cricut, and stamped a sentiment from a set that I forgot I had. Matted the image and put it on the card base. :)
I’d like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Morgan’s ArtWorld – #13 ATG
Polkadoodles Challenge – Week 26/27 ATG
A Perfect Time to Craft – #7 ATG
Through the Craft Room Door - Week of July 4 – ATG

Good morning, it’s time for a new challenge at Come and Get It Challenges, where our theme is Fairies or Trolls. We are sponsored by Sherri Baldy over at Besties.
I used Scan 0019 for my card….such a cute little troll!! After coloring the image with my Prismacolors, I found some bright papers that seemed to go with the mood of the cutie. I got the bright idea of fringing paper – and no, I do not have fringe scissors!!! Originally it was only going to be the one color, but I just kept cutting away, as I like the layered fringe look I still have a whack of my melted pony bead ‘enamel dots’, and come of the colors were perfectly bright for this design I was stumped for a sentiment, or just that last little “something” – until I rummaged around and found this chipboard sentiment….that I’ve been waiting probably 10 years to use!! It just goes to show that when you’re a crafter, saving things makes sense!!

A Gem of A Challenge – #197 Summer Colors
Hello! Here is my card for the current challenge at Come and Get It. Our theme this week is Weddings, so it’s a great time to make up a card for wedding season. Our generous sponsor is Di’s Digistamps.
I was snooping around on the net, and came across this cute wedding couple at The Hungry JPEG. I merged the various elements of the set, then added a “congrats” sentiment to the banner. I sot of mirrored the banner shape when cutting out the image. I used a sheet of double sided DP for the background, cutting strips of the reverse side as a top and bottom border. This card needed a bit of glitz, so I brushed on some Wink of Stella on the veil, added a rhinestone necklace, some silver bows, and matted everything on some silver glitter paper. Love the funky feel of this card with the flamingo couple
I would love to enter this into the following -
A Gem of a Challenge – #196 Wedding or Anniversary

A SnowFlakes Promise - #41 ATG
Good morning!!! It’s Sunday, and that means that it’s time for another challenge over at Come And Get It Challenges We have a super fun theme this week, and it’s “Nautical”. Our generous sponsor for the challenge is Papernest Dolls.
I was given Sailor Owen to work with for my DT project, and chose to go with the traditional red, white and navy color scheme. After coloring the image with my SN markers, I cut a cloud shaped top, then inked in some clouds for a background. I have been hoarding this nautical paper for a while, and this was the perfect card to use it on!! I just received this Memory Box die in the mail…talk about good timing!! I layered it with a bit of cheesecloth, then grabbed on of the wooden anchor embellishments that I snagged at Michael’s in the $1.50 bins
I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:
Card Mania - #92 Life is Colorful
Creative Inspirations – #275 ATG
A Gem Of A Challenge – #195 For the Boys/Men (any male image)

Hello!! It’s time for another challenge over at Come and Get It. This time, we have a fairly easy theme…..Make It Square. We have 2 sponsors, this time, and they are:
and Star Stampz
Hope to see a lot of entries with the square shape
I used image #360 from Oddball Art….Tiny Kawaii Dragon on a Mushroom. I figured it was time for something really bright and funky, and I remembered that I had the mushroom printed paper in my scrap file….it came from the very first paper pad that I ever purchased, so it is quite old…and I am quite forgetful, so I have no idea who it’s by! I colored the image to coordinate with the paper, then lay everything out, using another scrap of paper from the same pad, a die cut flower from my stash, and then I die cut some mushrooms with a die from Cheery Lynn. A quick stamped sentiment, some pink twine, and some of my homemade enamel like dots (from melted pony beads ) and the card was done!
Here is the one and only “real” Easter card that I made this year. It was a DT make over at Come and Get It Challenges, but my blog was acting up, and not letting me on….and my brain was functioning about as well!! For that challenge, we were kindly sponsored by Polkadoodles, which is where I got this adorable image from, Crocus, from the Darling Bud collection. I colored her up with my SN markers, then added more shading and definition with my Prismacolor pencils. I lightly stenciled a background in with Distress Inks. I had a brain lapse with the edge….was thinking I could just cut an edge border with the die I was using…nope, lol. I pieced the edge in, and quite like the result of my boo boo!! Tied a big fluffy bow, and added the sentiment and a bunch of pearl accents to finish this card off. Another pastel project…..what is coming over me??

Hello!! It’s hard to believe that it’s the for another challenge over at Come and Get It!! Our theme this time is Cards For Kids, and we are sponsored by the generous PaperNest Dolls.
I must confess, time got away on me, and this was a late make!!
I used Ballerina Emma, and colored her up with my SN markers. Yesterday it was feeling very spring like here (today, not so much, with about 6″ of snow overnight), so I used soft pastel colors. I used scraps from 2 different paper collections, and cut the number 4 out with my Cricut. I used a die from Elizabeth Craft for the bunting. Pink ribbon bows, some yellow flowers, a Brad and glitter glue pulled everything together, ready for the fussy cut image to dance onto the card
I’d like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Digi Choosday – Week 9 ATG
Creative Knockouts – #183 Die/Punch Frenzy
Cute Card Thursday - #467 ATG
Gem of a Challenge – #189 Use 3 ‘B’s’ (ballerina, bows, bunting, blooms)
Send a Smile 4 Kids – Spring Colors 4 Kids
EEEEP!! I didn’t get this posted at anywhere close to the right time!! There still IS a teeny bit of time left to enter our current challenge at Come and Get It, though. Our theme this time is “No Designer Paper”, and the sponsor is the wonderful Nikki Burnett.
I used Fallon, supplied by the sponsor I colored it with my Prismacolors, then fussy cut it to go over the embossed (and lightly inked) background. I die cut some birch trees to place over the embossing. I stamped a sentiment on another strip and this finished my project off
Hi there!!! It’s time for our first challenge of 2017 over at Come and Get It Challenges Appropriately enough, the theme is “Anything New”. This gives you a chance to show off some new crafty stash, a new technique…..well…anything new!!! Annnnd, it gives you the chance to win a $15 voucher from the ever popular Bugaboo Stamps!
I was given the adorable Scene It Birthday Bears to use on my card. Other than the new digi (colored with my SN markers), I also used a new stencil in the background….inked with distress inks; new ribbon, and a new fold :) I perked the card up a bit with some blue glitter on the number 3, and some balloons, that I cut with my Cricut, then added Glossy Accents to. Hope you like it, and that you can join me and the fabulous design team in our Anything New challenge!!
