Snowmen Selfie

Snowmen Selfie

Snowmen SelfieGood morning!! I posted a sneaky peak of the image I used on this card a couple days ago, on Facebook.  Today is the day that you can pick up this adorable image as a FREEBIE, at Sheepski Designs Challenge Blog!!  Andrea is offering this as a freebie, to celebrate the 100th image that she’s created!! While you’re at the blog, check out the current challenge, Girlz Rule.  We all like sneaking a girl into our cards, every now and then ;)  If you use a Sheepski Designs image, and are the winner, or Top 3, your prize is bumped up by an extra image!  To help out with your shopping, here is a special discount code to use:

SKISUSAN10

I colored this image up with my Prismacolors, on gray Kraft paper (didn’t know there was such a thing, but there it was, at Michael’s!)  I framed it to look like a polaroid, and heat embossed a sentiment.  I tucked a few die cut snowflakes behind the picture, and used my white gel pen to make a scribbley edge, before mounting the whole thing on a blue card blank :)

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland – Add Snowflakes

Brown Sugar Challenge – #255 ATG

Crafting with Friends – #45 ATG

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge – #338 Anything Christmas with optional Silver

Snow Family

Blue Snow Family

Snow FamilyHello, here is my card for the latest challenge over at C.R.A.F.T.  We are having Christmas as our theme, as we do once a month, as a way of trying to help you get the jump on making Christmas cards. We have the generous PaperNest Dolls as our sponsor this time :)

I have used the adorable Snow Family image, kindly supplied to me by the sponsor for my DT project.  I colored the family up with my Prismacolors, then added some Wink of Stella to the bodies, and some glitter to the background.  I cut the image out with a nesting die, matting it with a bigger version of the same die.  I had a scrap of the blue snowflake paper in my stash, that coordinated perfectly.  I used a corner punch to put the snowflakes in the corners, then used the punch again on the dark blue base paper, and sprinkled the punch-outs around the card.  Some fluffy and sparkly yarn, and a few bows finish this card off :)

I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Extra Challenge – June

Christmas Bunny

Here we go with….A Christmas Card!!

Well, my 2016 resolution was to make Christmas cards all year, to avoid the rush close to the holidays (which I did, but some personal stuff caused a totally different kind of rush, and I never got any of my cards mailed!!)……it worked out so well, that I’m going to continue with this :)  Over at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge, we have a Christmas theme challenge every month, which keeps me on track.  That’s our challenge theme this week :)  Our fabulous sponsor is:

Christmas BunnyI used the adorable image “Christmas Tree Time“.  I colored the image up with my new Prismacolor pencils, then used 2 dies to cut out the wonky shape :)  The card base was cut with my Cricut, and after backing the trees with some glitter paper, I added a Joy (also cut with Cricut), and some stars to finish this off :)

I’d like to enter this card in the following challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge – A is for ATG or B is for anything starting with B (blue, bunny, birds)

Deer Friends

Deer Friends

Good morning!!! Today is the start of our new weekly challenge at C.R.A.F.T.  Our theme is Christmas, and since time is quickly passing, and before we know it, the day will be here, it’s a great time to link up a card or two :)  Our fabulous sponsors are:

The Paper Shelter   Oddball Art

 and

I used this beautiful image from The Paper Shelter, called Holy Night.

Deer Friends

I’ve had the image for a while now, and couldn’t decide what to do with it….then the idea of a monochromatic card came to me.  I colored the image with my SN markers, then added some embossed die cut trees, that I brushed with matching Distress Inks to give a bit of definition…before adding some twinkly embossing powder.  I stamped the background paper and embossed with the same embossing powder (a mix of white and tinsel)  A stamped sentiment, some ribbon, punched twigs and some embossed gems (same powder :)) finish this card off.  I’m so happy with this card, because it is very rare that I get a picture of something in my head, and the finished product matches!!

Joy Snowman

Snowman With Skates

Hi there!  Another challenge has begun over at Come and Get It :) Our theme this week is Ribbon and/or Twine, so it’s a great time to use some embellishments that you may have neglected.  As always, the DT have gone all out, showcasing some images from our sponsor:

Joy SnowmanI used the Snowman With Skates image from Bugaboo Stamps for my card. After coloring the image with my SN markers, I had a go at a background…which I’m fairly happy with :) I added some snowflakes with gel pen, and some puffy embossing powder for the snowman to sit in. I thought I’d go for ribbon AND twine on this card, wrapping some around the base and adding some to the stamped sentiment.

Frosty Wishes

Frosty Wishes

It’s been a while since I’ve done a post of any kind, as life has been throwing me a number of curve balls lately, and it’s been all I can do to keep my head above water!!  With that being said, I better get back into the groove of things, and start swimming again!!

Frosty Wishes

This card is for the latest challenge over at C.R.A.F.T.  with the theme being Wintertime.

 Our sponsors are

Star Stampz and Sweet N’ Sassy .

I used the adorable Light Up My Life image from Sweet N’ Sassy for my project.  I had the light bulb print paper left over from a Christmas stack, and took the color scheme from that, as I colored the image in with my SN markers.  I did a bit of inking around the edges, and added some sparkle for snow.  I used coordinating scraps from the same stack for the layout, added some die cut snowflakes, a bit more sparkle, and a sentiment that I cut with my Cricut.  I hope you can stop by the C.R.A.F.T. blog and check out the amazing projects my fellow DT members have created, and enter your own Winter project :)

I’d like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Pixies Snippets – week 254

ABC Christmas Challenge – W for Wishes

Christmas at Sweet Stampin’ – Anything for Christmas Goes

Silver bird

Silver Bird

Hi there!  Apparently, I forgot to post this….it’s been “one of those weeks”- but the difficulties I’ve been having with a person at work resolved itself in a HUGE bit of karma!  :)

Anyway, this is my card for the current challenge over at

As the badge says, the theme is Holiday, where any of your holiday makes qualify for an entry…..an this can be any Holiday that you may celebrate :) We have

as our wonderful sponsor this week, offering 2 digital images to a lucky winner.  Stop by to be inspired by my amazing DT team mates!

Silver birdI made a quick card, using some old stamps from Inkadinkadoo.  I stamped and  heat embossed the bird and sentiment in silver.  These were some of the first Christmas stamps that I purchased years and years ago :)  I then masked it off, and inked the sides with Dusty Concord and Peacock Feathers Distress inks.  I added some purple, teal and silver sequins, and matted it all with a silver shimmer card stock.

Kitty Cup

A Cup of Kitty :)

Hi there!  It’s a beautiful fall day here.  It’s amazing how fast summer passed us by :(  That being said, I’m certain that before we know it, winter will be upon us, and with that, Christmas.  So, it’s the perfect time to start on your Christmas cards, if you haven’t done so already!  And…..that is exactly what our challenge theme is this week at C.R.A.F.T.!  We have 2 fabulous sponsors this time around:

   and  The Stamping Boutique

Stop by and get in the Christmas spirit with the wonderful DT cards!

Kitty CupI was given “Cup of Love” by Pickled Potpourri to work with.  It’s not in their Christmas section, but it is such a versatile stamp!!  Depending on your choice of color scheme, it can be used at any time of the year :)  After merging the kitty into the cup, I colored it up with my SN markers.  I added gold and some sparkly highlights on the mug pattern.  I stamped a pretty sentiment in the corner of the image piece.  All the paper I used was from my scrap folder…it’s time to be using some of that up :)  I added a strip of a brown paper bag, and a bow at the bottom, and some little blingy things that I made from polymer clay around the image.  A few more swipes with the glitter pen on the sentiment and the bow, and everything was coordinated quite nicely :)

MrAndMrsSnowCU

Mr. and Mrs. Snow

Hi there!! Where on Earth did August go? The leaves are already starting to turn! Although I love fall, I really dont like the cold that comes with THAT season that follows…  You’d never guess, with my card for this weeks challenge at C.R.A.F.T.  Our theme this week is a technique – embossing, and we have Crafty Sentiments

as our generous sponsor!   Stop by and see the beautiful embossed goodies that the design team has made to inspire you this time around :)

MrAndMrsSnowI was given this adorable image from our sponsor.  Mr. and Mrs. Snow was colored with my SN markers, and added some clear Wink of Stella to the snow people. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to selectively emboss around the image, then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on another panel. I matted everything with coordinating card stock, added a few silver dots in the corners, and called this card done!

I’d like to enter the following challenges with this card:

Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge – Use a Sentiment

Hiding In My Craft Room – Any Holiday

Christmas at Sweet Stampin’ – Snow People

Craft Your Passion – ATG #327

Crafting From the Heart – ATG #125

Coffee Fairy

Christmas Coffee Fairy

Hi there!! It’s time again for another challenge over at C.R.A.F.T.  We realize how easy it is to leave our Christmas cards until the last minute, then fly into a panic in December, so we’ve been giving you Christmas theme challenges throughout the year to help out a bit.  And with THAT preamble, you have probably guessed that our theme this week is Christmas!! Lol :)  For our sponsor, we have the fabulous  Nikki Burnette :)

Coffee FairyI was given the beautiful Sadie, to work with.  I colored her up with my SN markers, then glittered her wings up (because I have a firm belief that fairy wings sparkle!!)  For the cup and saucer, I dotted parts of each with a white gel pen, then colored them over again with colored pencils to get the polka dot effect without losing shading detail.

For the papers, I dove into my Christmas scrap folder and had some fun :)   I tied the bow, then adhered some candy canes that I fussy cut from another paper scrap and topped with Glossy Accents.  A computer printed sentiment and some silver glitter baubles finished this card off :)

I hope that you can stop by the  C.R.A.F.T.  challenge blog and enter a Christmas make, and while you are there, check out the beautiful inspirational projects that my amazing teammates have created :)

I’d like to enter this card into the following challenges:
