Bee Goodbye

Bee in Blossom

Bee GoodbyeHello there!! There’s a brand new challenge over at the  Sheepski Designs Facebook group!! It’s ATG  as long as you use an image from Sheepski Designs.  Andrea has some gorgeous images, and I have a discount code for you, to help you with your shopping :)

I have used Bumble Bee Blossom for my inspiration card.  I colored the image with SN markers  and did some fine detail accent work with a ultra fine point pen.  I made the background by stencilling the honeycomb pattern with embossing ink, then embossing with gold, inking with distress ink, randomly stamping a script stamp, then sprinkling some pink and white embossing powder over it all to give the impression of pollen :)  I layered the image on some gold, then a doily (which was the perfect pink….go figure!!), added some lace, ribbon and pearls….and finished with a small sentiment.  I love this image, and had so much fun making this card!! Hopefully, we will see you join us in the challenge….who knows, you may be one of the winners :)

Up and Away

Up and Away

Up and Away

Hello!  Lately, I’ve been trying to use stamps and other products that I’ve had for some time and have neglected to use.  The stamp that I have used here is from Crafty Paws….it was a freebie eons ago, and I thought the little pups in their balloon was so cute…..and that’s as far as it went until now :/  I colored this up with my Prismacolors, then used the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches as a guide for putting the card together.

It’s such a versatile sketch, that I’m sure I’ll be using it again and again :)  It’s also a great layout to use scraps up, which I did with my card.  The diagonal strip needed some “oomph”, so I cut arrows in it with my Cricut, then layered it over some red.  The sentiment is made with tiny alpha stickers on a die cut circle.  I doodled some more arrows around the image and added some bright adhesive embellishments to finish this card off :)

In addition to Tuesday Morning Sketches, I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Sunflower Goodbye

Mixed Goodbye

Sunflower GoodbyeHello there!! I’ve been messing around with my blog, trying to give it a new look, and I’m still not sure what I’m doing.  I think I like it so far, but  I will continue to play, and try to get it to where I want it.  I am so technologically illiterate, though, that it will most likely take a lot of time!!

It’s time for another new challenge at  Addicted to Stamps and More

and it’s a favorite….Make Your Mark!!

Our sponsor is

who are offering 2 digital images to a lucky winner :)  My teammates have made their mark in the most wonderful ways, so please be sure to stop by and see their projects and prepare to be amazed!!

I didn’t know what to make my mark with for this card, so I just kept playing along, making marks with whatever caught my fancy at the moment!!   I used Stamplorations Close Up Flower image, which I think has been discontinued, because I can’t find it in their shop (found a bunch more to get me into trouble, though, lol).  You might have better luck finding it……  I colored it with my SN markers, then sponged some Distress ink around the edges of the card.  I got out a stencil by Tim Holz, and used a couple darker shades of the DI to ink it….I overlapped onto the flower a bit, so it appears to blend into the background.  Stamps make marks, so I took a pretty fluorish stamp, and added that in a few places…. THEN, well, mists make marks…..grin – I was starting to have fun here!! I gave a few quick spritzes of Antique Gold Glimmer mist.  My paint was looking rather left out, so did a quick few spatters with gold paint, before stamping the sentiment.  I had so much fun playing with so many different mediums, I hope you like my card :)  Stop by Addicted to Stamps and More and show us what kind of mark you can make :)
