No Evil

No Evil

No EvilHi there!! Been a while since I’ve blogged anything, as I’ve been feeling out of sorts, and blah lately…..hiding in my little hole in the corner of the world lol.  However, I’ve been crafting, and here’s one of the cards I made….using the adorable We are No Evil by Mitzi at Aurora Wings :)  This was one of the first images I ever had from Aurora Wings, and have only just now got around to coloring it and making a card!!  I used my SN markers to color it, adding some detail with a fine point Stampin’ Up marker that I’ve had for 13 years (and it still works!!!)  I wanted to retain the woodsy feel of the image throughout the card, so I embossed some leaf print background paper with a tree embossing folder, then dabbed brown paint on the embossed parts to give it some definition.  Then I proceeded to cover the better part of it up by layering burlap, and pieces of a damaged screened in gazebo that I scooped up before it went in the trash :)  I die cut leaves in a variety of greens, added a twine bow with some leaf charms, a sentiment and a square gold accent :)  Loving these little guys….I love owls, have always liked the No Evil characters, and am a huge fan of Aurora Wings images, so its a perfect mix!!

Leaf Sympathy

Fall Thoughts

Hi there!! This is a rather late post for this weeks challenge over at Come and Get It Challenges.  We have the theme of “Fall” – although it is cold, and snowy and slippery here :(   But it will go away….to early for winter lol.  We also have the fabulous Eureka Stamps as a sponsor, who has such a great selection at their store, you will be spoiled for choice, if you are the lucky winner!!  The DT has come up with some gorgeous projects, so stop by and be inspired :)

Leaf SympathyI was given the Leaf Background image from our sponsor to use for my card.  I had so much fun coloring these leaves, and experimenting with some different color blends with my SN markers!! I kept it to a simple design, using triple time stamping, and just adding a quick sentiment strip and a few enamel dots :)
