I knew I just NEEDED this strawberry image, as soon as I saw it!! Brings back memories of berry picking with my parents I colored them with my SN markers, taking tips on the techniques from the Kit and Clowder Elements of Nature class. After matting it with red, I placed it on a square die cut doily. A cute gingham background paper, paired with some burlap and Rik Rac were all this card needed for the image to shine through!
Be sure to check out the rest of Andrea’s amazing designs at the Sheepski Designs shop. And we’d love you to join us at the Facebook group, where you can enter the monthly challenge. Hello, and Happy New Year!!! My blog has been down and out for over a month, but hopefully all the issues are resolved now!!! Just in time for a brand new challenge over at C.R.A.F.T.!! We’re starting the New Year with a fun recipe challenge
Our wonderful sponsor this week is
who have tons of adorable images to choose from!!
I’m using Hula Halina for my card. I colored her up with my SN markers, adding some definition to the hair with an ultra fine point pen. I found the bright summery hibiscus printed paper in my stash, and then matched it up with some bright stripes, from a completely different collection. The three flowers were cut with my Cricut, and I added some sparkle to them before popping them up on some foam dots. I hope you can join us, and make sure you check out the fabulous creations of the DT here.
Hello there It’s time for another challenge at Come And Get It. This time, our theme is “Summertime.” We have 3 fantastic sponsors for this week:
Make sure you stop by to see the teams amazing inspiration projects….and leave some love while you’re there
I was given Ice Cream Avery from the PaperNest Dolls to work with. I colored this little cutie up with my SN markers, then fussy cut her out. After assembling a sunburst background, made with shimmer and plain yellow CS, I added a curved border with a stamped sentiment. I placed Avery , then added a glitter circle “sun” – and THOUGHT I was finished!! However, my darling pup decided to help, and got his grubby little nose all over this project while he was checking out what he could fix on the card. So, I had dirty little doggy nose smudges in a few places The image was pretty firmly adhered, so I had to figure out a fix. I re-cut some of the sun rays, and patched over some of the marks, but there was an obvious smudge on the bottom white part…..I covered it up with an ice cream brad….which bothers me to no end, because I liked the clean white portion….I guess an ice cream fits the mood better than dog nose marks
Hi there! I’m entering this card into a number of challenges….just seemed to work out that way….. Penny’s Paper Crafty blog is asking us to use our favorite embellishment. Mine would probably have to be buttons…. judging from the jars and bins of them that I have! Card and Scrap also wanted to see buttons, as did Hiding in my Craft Room (buttons and bows). The Crafty Ribbon challenge theme is ‘spotty with ribbons’. The ice cream and Popsicle image fall in with Crafts 4 Eternity’s ‘fabulous food’ challenge, as well as Blue Moon Creation Get Inky’s summer theme. The images I used are from Michael’s dollar bin stamps…..got them a few years ago and never used them, and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I found the cool chunky buttons and the ribbon in my endless hoard of crafty goodness. The spotty paper is from a pack I picked up years ago.
