Hi there!! My card today has been travelling the world for a while, en route to Australia. I made this for Alyce at Kit and Clowder, as a thank you for all the support and encouragement that she gives to us Clowdies!!! The image is from KennyK Stamps, and can be found HERE. I colored her up with my SN markers, then matted the image on some paper that matched her jacket. I die cut some teal flourishes with a Couture Creations die, and added some flowers to coordinate with the rest of the card. Everything was put on an backing paper that we embossed with a Darice embossing folder. A bit of sparkly ribbon, some blingy centres for the flowers, white gel pen accents, and a stamped sentiment finish this card off
I’d like to enter this into the following challenges:
The Ribbon Girl – March ATG Challenge
Simon Wednesday Challenge – For a Special Lady/Girl (Alyce)
Morgan’s Artworld – #5 Include a Sentiment
Crafty Sentiments Challenge – ATG
Through the Craft Room Door – ATG week of March 7-13
Well, I guess it’s officially fall now!! The calendar does not lie It’s also time for another challenge at C.R.A.F.T. This time our theme is Autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving. That pretty much allows for anyone’s taste in cards Of course, we have some super sponsors, and this time, they are:
I was given the Long Tall Cattails image by DRS Designs. I bounced around a few ideas in my head, but things really started coming together for my plans for this card when I saw this color combination over at
My orange color in my card looks way redder, thanks to the joys of photography I printed the cattails up, and colored them black, to give them the silhouette effect. I fussy cut them out, and covered them with Glossy Accents to give them some dimension and shine. For the background, I played with one of my favorite background techniques, that I discovered a few years ago. For this, you use some fusible webbing (from your sewing stash), I just used pieces of fusible hem tape. I heated the paper enough for the web to adhere, then sprinkled embossing powder on it. I did this multiple times, alternating dark purple, orange sparkle and forest green (actually called “Pond Scum”) embossing powders. When the web and embossing powders are heated together, the web separates and makes some beautiful effects I cut a window in this, matted it in a dark purple card stock, and layered it on a piece of black, which I had stamped and embossed the sentiment on in the orange embossing powder. After adhering the cattails, I added a few black baubles for balance.
Hello! It’s time for this week’s challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!! This week, we have everyone’s favorite theme
Our sponsor is
who is offering 2 digital images to the lucky winner! The DT girls have gone all out with their inspiration projects, so be sure to check them out!
I was in a autumn-y mood, but had no idea what I wanted to make, so I rummaged through my stuff (ok, for a few days, lol) and found these dies I forgot I had, and some plain colored card stock in fall colors. I popped the die cuts up with foam dots, then cut a Thank you sentiment on my Cricut, which I added Glossy Accent to. A few sequins, a piece of ribbon, and some feather die cuts, and I was done
Hello there Another Wednesday has rolled around and that means it’s time for another challenge at
We are at the CAS part of our theme cycle right now, and have the wonderful
as a sponsor! The DT ladies have created some beautiful projects, so please make sure you stop by!
I used the Ribbons and Stars border from Eureka, and kept it VERY simple (for me, anyway!). I added a sentiment before printing, then colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers. I couldn’t resist adding 2 different shades of silver glitter to the stars. I matted it with black CS, and was done
I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
Sweet Stampin – No Designer Paper
Moving Along with the Times – CAS
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends – ATG #40
Tuesday Throwdown – #309 CAS
Robyn’s Fetish – ATG
Hi there!!! It’s (past) time for another challenge at Come and Get It. I say “past” because I got so confused the last week, and got challenge dates so mixed up – so this is a late post. I think my brain is getting old before I’m ready!!! Anyway, our challenge this time is Paper Piercing (not piecing). As always, we have some wonderful sponsors, and this time around, it’s
offering 3 images, and
also offering 3 images!
My teammates have been busy making fabulous inspiration cards for you, so be sure to check their projects out, and prepare to be amazed
I was given Butterflies from Sentimental Susan to use on my card. I colored them up with my SN markers in rainbow hues, and fussy cut them out. I found a template for paper piercing on Pinterest, and used it on a piece of vellum (love the look of piercing on vellum!!) I cut around it and mounted it on some olive green cardstock. Of course, the glue showed on the corners, even though I used special vellum adhesive, so I found some gold ribbon and covered it up I punched about a million little blossoms, layered them and centered them with gold pearls. The sentiment was stamped, embossed and cut out and placed in the center of the pierced piece. Positioning the butterflies was the last step I did on this card
I hope you like it, and we would love to see your creations at our challenge
I’m entering this card in the following challenges:
Robyn’s Fetish – Butterflies
Craft Your Passion – ATG #318
Crafting From the Heart – ATG #118
I recently filled an order for a whole bunch of thank you cards, I thought my stash of them was bigger than it was, so it was a bit touch and go to get the order done on time. That gave me a push to make a few to have on hand
This coincided with this weeks challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! Our theme is
this time around, and we have the wonderful
as a sponsor, offering 3 digital images to the lucky winner!
I used “It’s a Dragonfly Day” by our sponsor, and figured it would made a nice cheery Thank You card As some of you know, I tend to struggle with CAS cards, and this time was no different!! I finally just colored it with my SN markers, masked it off and made a sponged background in just a strip…..added some blingies and a sentiment. And. Walked. Away. Happy to start my thank you card stash again
I hope you can stop by and enter your CAS creations (and help to inspire people like me!) at Addicted to Stamps and More this week. Speaking of inspiration, my teammates are amazing with their creations, they just keep making more and more beautiful projects!! Stop by and give them some well deserved love
