Trim the Tree

Hello 🙂  We’re already into December, and the holidays are quickly approaching.  The Aurora Wings Challenge Blog is keeping with the season with the current challenge theme

No automatic alt text available.

It’s the Aurora Team’s turn to inspire you today 🙂

I made a couple of tree decorations, using the adorable Kitty In Stocking, available exclusively HERE at AuroraWings.com, and the equally cute Yorkie in Stocking, available HERE in the Etsy store, and HERE at AuroraWings.com. I printed both images out twice, in mirror image, and colored them with my Copics.  After fussy cutting them out, I glued them back to back, with a thread running from between the two, so the image could spin within the wooden frames.  I painted the frames with Christmas colored acrylic paint, then mixed some chunky silver glitter with the gloss top coat to finish them.  After hanging the cute little critters, I added a small white bow to each side of the two ornaments 🙂

I hope you can join us with some of your holiday themed creations. Check out both of the Aurora Wings stores – HERE and HERE (Etsy) – for some great deals on amazing images to give your creativity a boost!!

I’d like to enter this in the following challenges:

  1. These are totally precious, Susan! And even better that those adorable critters can spin in their beautiful frames. Super coloring. Couldn’t be cuter! Here’s to wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season. xxD

  2. Another creative project from you, Susan! I’ve seen those wood frames at craft shops and never could think of a way to use them. But you have me motivated now! Such a cute idea to have these fur babies (two-sided no less) hanging in a frame ornament. Your coloring is amazing at that small size!! Thank you so much for this fun inspiration for AWCB.
