Oak Tree Fairy

Hi there 🙂 Well, thanks to getting sick and being unable to stand being vertical for any amount of time, this post is a few days late 🙂 I’m feeling much better now, so I better get at it!!! This card is my my DT inspiration for the current ATG challenge at Creative Fingers Challenge Blog. We are so lucky to have the amazing Christine Karron as a sponsor this time around for a month long challenge. I used Oak Tree Fairy from this package, one of two packages that the luck winner will get to chose from, as well as the images that the DT worked with 🙂 This was a bit of a challenge for me, as I rarely color male faces, and it was a bit of a struggle not to make him to “femmy”.

After coloring him with my Copics, I cut out the image and set it aside to work on the layout of the rest of the card. I’ve had this acorn print paper for probably 10 years now, and this was just the image to use it on!! I also found some striped paper, from a magazine paper pack, that had just the right colors in it. I layered these two prints with some coordinating solid CS pieces, one of which I embossed with a folder that I inked up with Distress inks. I added a sentiment from the same magazine pack, and some white accents in the top corner. It still needed a bit of something, so I used my Posca pen to “stitch” around a few pieces.

I’d like to enter this in the following:
