Daisy Panel

Hi there 🙂 Today I have some inspiration from Sheepski Designs 🙂 Our Facebook challenge is going on right now, and, as always, it’s ATG with an optional theme. This month, our optional theme is “Your Favorite Embellishment”. I had to think a bit about that, as my “favorite” changes all the time, depending on my mood and what the project I’m working on needs. I looked back at some of my projects and saw that I frequently use pearls and/or ribbons/bows, so I decided to go with those 2. I used the pretty Daisy Panel image for my card, and colored it with my Copics.

I put it on a fishtail banner die cut and wrapped a ribbon around the bottom, then added a bow. I couldn’t believe that I had a piece of blue paper that matched my colored background SO well…but when I put them together it was just a bit too much, so I dabbed the background of my daisies with a colorless blender pen to give it some contrast to the paper. I’ve had the daisy embossing folder for ages, and can’t remember ever using it – but an embossed panel for the bottom was perfect with this image. I colored in the centers for a bit of definition.

showing the detail of the embossing a bit more…

To finish, I adhered a few pearls to the top corners. I left this card without a sentiment for now, I can either add one when it has a recipient, or use it to write a quick note to someone “just because”.

I’d like to enter this in the following:

  2. A very pretty card. The two colours of your background banner panel surround the lovely image and the NBUS EF was a good find! Thanks for sharing with us at Stamping Sensations.

  3. This is beautiful. Nice that bright bleu with the yellow.
