Basketball Birthday

Hi there 🙂 It’s time for a brand new ATG challenge over at Creative Fingers! Our fabulous sponsor this time is Conie Fong. Along with providing everyone with a code for a 25% discount code to her store (CREATIVEFINGERSOCT), Conie has given the DT images to work with, and my choice is the adorable Basketball Benny! I colored Benny up with my Copics, then cut the image out with a stitched die.

I have a sports themed paper pad that provided the perfect choice for papers for this image. I used 3 of the different designs – the basketball print for the background, an orange print for the diagonal strip, and a grassy green for the big stitched banner. I layered it all up, backing the orange strip with a black mat that I’d edged with some edging scissors (!!!). The paper collection also came with a bunch of die cut images, and I chose an assortment to pop onto the card, using foam dots for some dimension with a few of them. I used another stitched banner die to cut out the simple stamped sentiment. Everything was matted in black before being attached to the card base.
