Hi there š I love poinsettias, but have pets, so don’t dare keep any in my home! Good thing I have my crafting to keep some of these beauties in my life. This gorgeous image is part of the Blessings Poinsettia set from Angie Blom Digital Designs. I colored it up with my Copics, adding a bit of white Posca to give the glass a more realistic effect, then cut it out with an oval die. A quick bit of Distress Inks give a bit of definition to the die cut edge.
I knew I wanted to use the poinsettia print paper that I’ve had in my stash for probably 15 years or more! I found a striped scrap of paper that went well with the other print, and cut it with a large banner die. I layered this on a black scalloped banner die cut, and assembled the card. The sentiment is from an old stamp set, and I cut it out with a smaller oval die, matting it with black as well. This card has such a warm, traditional feel to it.
