Hi there 🙂 For this card, I used my oldest stamp!! (other than some little ones I randomly stamped on wedding decorations, lol) – I guess you can call it my oldest “real” stamp. It’s from Stampin’ Up. I can remember going to a Stampin’ Up party (do they still have parties?) at a friend’s house, and having a blast!! My kids were in playschool and kindergarten at the time, I think, so this has to be at least 25 years old! It’s a rather large background stamp, so I stamped and embossed it with black powder, and used it as the whole card front. I used watercolor pencils to fill in all the lovely flower colors. A stitched die cut strip provided a nice contrast to the black die cut sentiment. Some matting, and this card was done!
I’d like to enter this in the following:
Simon Wednesday Challenge – Emboss It!
We Love Stamping – June Challenge, and 15 year blog anniversary – Fabulous Florals
Craft-alnica – #362 Stamp
Beautiful Blossoms Challenge – Anything Florals Goes with Optional Mood Board #18
Stamping Sensations – June moodboard – I used flowers (roses) and the colors
Aren’t those older stamps just the best? I love the design of this card, the blackout technique makes those florals pop! Thanks for joining us at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge and we hope you’ll share again soon.
